Today we’d like to introduce you to Nelly Golber.
Nelly, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been practicing art of Electrology since 1995 when I graduated from MG Institute of Electrology, Chicago with honors. After graduating, I joined the staff of MG Institute as an Electrology clinical associate. In 1996 I was certified by American Board of Electrology.
In 1997 I acquired Eleanor Stone Electrolysis Clinic in Highland Park, IL and in 2007 Rosa Navarro Clinic in Winnetka, IL. Since then I have been conducting her business under the name of North Shore Electrolysis Clinic in Winnetka.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Since electrolysis is not as known and widely used method as laser hair removal, it’s been quiet challenging to educate new or existing clients about results and benefits of electrolysis method. Thankfully, once a person starts her treatment, it becomes very clear that it remains the only safe and truly permanent method for hair removal, no matter what color hair or skin or what area of the body is treated.
North Shore Electrolysis Clinic – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Founded in the 1963, North Shore Electrolysis Clinic (former Eleanor Stone) brought the art and science of electrolysis to the North Shore Community. Since that time NSEC has maintained the highest standards in the field of electrolysis. Each staff member is professionally trained in the United States, licensed and a member of American and Illinois Electrology Association.
Our office complies and exceeds with sterilization procedures required by state of Illinois and OSHA.
In order to bring multidisciplinary approach in solving our clients’ problems, we expanded our staff to include an aesthetician and a certified skin care specialist.
Also, our practice operates in close contact with dermatologists, endocrinologists, internists and plastic surgeons. We offer a complimentary demonstration with initial consultation.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I haven’t used any form of an advertisement in many year of being in business. All my new clients come from a referrals and that speaks values about our clinic, our success, our professionalism, in my opinion.
