Today we’d like to introduce you to Ricardo Gallarzo and Nancy Rico.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Funny story it was tax season. My wife Nancy and I been planning for months to go on vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. We were in need of a vacation. I work all the time so I needed a break and spend it with the family. I was waiting on my tax refund money. That’s how I was going to pay for the vacation. One day, it just popped into my head a crazy crazy idea to start a bounce house rental business. I remember doing a lot of research about how to start it. To keep it simple, I right away told my wife Nancy, “Do you want to go on vacation or start a bounce house rental business?” She was super surprised. But she risked it for our business. That’s when Jr’s Jumping Jamboree began. Since the first day we started, every single weekend was booked. It happened so fast. It’s amazing how we started just renting bounce houses and now. We have available to rent bounce houses, tables, chairs, tents, popcorn and snow cone machines. All this in our first year, and we will continue to expand each year.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Every starting business has challenges. Our main challenge was did not expect to have a huge demand, as we did. The business started only with two bounce houses and a popcorn machine. A princess and space theme bounce house. My wife Nancy and I thought we just started we won’t have many clients. It started like that but then BOOM! By our thrid month, we had customers every single weekend. People called asking if we rented chairs, tables,tents, etc. So many calls that we decided to purchase and include that we now rented tables, chairs, tents, popcorn and snowcone machines. We are so much in demand. They were times my wife and I had to sadly decline clients. We would be completely booked. Some clients even changed the date for their event, just for the fact that they wanted Jr’s Jumping Jamboree’s services. This obstacle our business overcame, helped us better our business. Our goal is for our clients to be 100% satisfied and that their events are perfect, thanks to the help of our business Jr’s Jumping Jamboree.

Please tell us about Jr’s Jumping Jamboree.
Jr’s Jumping Jamboree is a rental party supply business. We rent bounce houses, tents, tables, chairs, popcorn and snowcone machines. Our rentals are the best quality. We take pride in our business and clients. I’m extremely proud of how amazing business went for our first year and the success will continue to show in how much we grow as a business. Our business stands out the most because unlike other rental businesses. Jr’s Jumping Jamboree doesn’t charge hourly. We believe fun shouldn’t be limited. We have flat daily rates. This way, we don’t tear off the bounce house from the party and the kids have as much fun as pleased.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My fondest memory as a child, was working with my parents at their grocery stories. Going with them to Sam’s Club to refill the store with food goods. I loved pretending I was the owner of the store. I always loved the excitement of running a business. This is were the thrilled of my love for business came. It might be the reason why I love being a business man and having my business be a family business.
