Meet Margarita Bord of SunGates Center in Wheeling

Today we’d like to introduce you to Margarita (Rita) Bord.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My new journey started when I was diagnosed with thyroid imbalance. I was working for a big corporation at the IT department as Project Manager. My financial success outweighed my health and personal fulfillment. I’ve been feeling tired, exhausted and overworked. At that time lots of projects been outsourced and among other was let go. I had to make a decision to continue carrier as a programmer or completely change my path.

Since I did not feel my best health wise, my husband Michael Melikhov offered a trip to India to see an Ayurvedic doctor and discover an ancient spiritual knowledge. This trip was a new beginning. Within short time I had overcome a disease, and soon after become a Holistic Health Coach. I studied at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, where I was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methodologies. My husband’s long time idea to open a wellness center becomes a reality.

In 2012 the SunGates Wellness Center acquired a Crystal Light Bed by full blessing of the world famous Medium and Healer Joao Teixeira de Faria, known also as John of God. With the opening of a new SunGates facility in Wheeling, people are able to experience the deep effects of “Crystal Bath” treatments in a comfortable environment. I started my regular journeys as a guide to the healing place in Brazil.

Now SunGates Center offers health coaching, educational/spiritual workshops, Yoga, Tai Chi, Meditation classes and varieties of alternative health and wellness services like Energy Healing, Massage and Acupuncture.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Even though I faced a difficult time at the beginning of new journey, I truly believed my destiny is to help myself and then reach as many as I can and share holistic approach to life.

As soon as I began the IIN course everything started ‘clicking’ into place for me. The supportive and multi-dimensional overview of what we were learning, such as multiple dietary theories and the holistic nature of health was leading me back to what I had been raised to know was the truth.

As a small business owners we get to do most of the everyday routine and marketing ourselves. It’s not easy, but nothing is more satisfactory then to see smiles on our clients and visitors faces when they report feeling happier and healthier or simply help to find answers to their burning questions.

I get to inspire and instruct others on how to improve their lives through making healthier choices. I’m living my passion while making the world a healthier, better place.

SunGates Center – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
SunGates Wellness Center offers variety of services to help those who are open to explore new ways to health and happiness. Our Classes/Workshops/Events and Services lean toward understanding of the Way of Balance. It is best described as maintaining a conscious balance of the three aspects of mankind. These are body, mind and spirit.

Our practitioners are the most kind, heart opened, experienced and willing to help other. We are glad to offer some services for FREE or donation based.

We provide a way for health and healing through knowledge of, and belief in, the body’s innate ability to be well.

We also share holistic, metaphysical and spiritual information through our own multilingual international SunGates Internet Radio.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
As a health coach I’ve been proud of my client who overcome a Hashimoto disease, become a successful health coach herself and gave birth to 2 amazing babies. As well as other clients who learned how to lead healthy life style.

As a guide to Spiritual hospital of John of God in Abadiania, Brazil my heart is pondering when I get to watch transformations in so many lives. It is my passion and great honor to support people on their path to health and transformation.
