Traveled with children frequently and with family and friends and wanted to create properties that would be able to accommodate larger groups and we’re unique with kitchens and larger spaces and also designed immaculately and not the typical hotel. Celeste offers an alternative to hotels and provides a more catered experience. Celeste has places that are large villas, homes as well as a more boutique hotel located at the most desirable locations in Chicago and Del Ray Beach.
The Celebrity Themed boutique hotel ” Celeste Celebrity Suites” is one of the most exciting properties Celeste owns. It’s a hidden Gem!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, in fact, a difficult road. I think its very difficult to try and expand in this amazing city when people are afraid of change. Hotels and the city don’t want these small operations and for sure do not want Vacation Rentals as they view them as disrupting and well frankly they are just wrong. The city needs to be more open to this as society wants this. I Just to give you an idea at our Bed and Breakfast we had to fight for our licensing for over 10 months although it was licensed for 17 years prior.
The Alderman in our District to this day although invited refuses to even see it but after fighting and fighting not only is Celeste operational but just amazing and 5 Star reviews.

Celeste buys their own buildings especially older ones with character and instead of tearing them apart they renovate to modernize but still keeping that old flair.
We pride ourselves that when people walk in they have the modern technology but still have that cozy feel and can submerge themselves in the older times while not sacrificing luxury and comfort
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Oh Gosh probably would have learned more about licensing and how “Chicago works”
