Duane, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
When my daughter was born twenty years ago, I sold my eye care practice and devoted the business entirely to employee safety: prescription eye wear for industry and ergonomics for the computer workplace. Today I have clients in 7 states and looking to expand into Europe.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The economy’s ups and downs are the biggest challenge. For as the economy slows down; businesses cut employees and reduce expenditures. Businesses have also been closing in the Chicago area and moving to countries like Mexico. I’ve altered my client mix to be less dependent on traditional manufacturing to industries that are more consumer based

I had an employee come to me and tell me I saved his life.
