Today we’d like to introduce you to Thuy Nguyen.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Thuy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was born in Kansas. I have been in the nail business for over 12 years. I got myself into doing nails because my parents (like most Vietnamese people) started the business. My siblings and I would come out to help them when we were done with school. After I got married, I moved to Chicago and took over our current business from our uncle in 2014.
Has it been a smooth road?
One of the biggest issue was of course money, having a business required money when we didn’t have much. We were recently married and bought a house. So the funds came from borrowing from our parents.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Nail Bliss & Spa Inc. story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in nails and foot care. We also provide waxing services. We are proud in the effort we put in that allowed the business to grow. We treat our customers like they are our own family. We try to get to know them individually.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I continue to see the nail industry to grow. They keep coming out with new products and services and we keep on continuing to learn new products and services.
