Today we’d like to introduce you to Rob Stoner.
Rob, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
CTI started as a software development firm back in 1984. Some of the first systems we developed were for companies like Snap-on Tools and Harley Davidson. Our niche was (and still is) developing solutions which “bolt-on” to existing business systems – such as SAP, LN, JD Edwards, etc. Beyond the “bolt-on solutions we have developed we also have built a suite of mobile apps for iOS and Android platforms as well as countless web-enabled applications.
One recurring pattern we found when developing systems for various clients was a need for IT Support for Small and Medium businesses. In 2001, we expanded our suite of offerings to include IT Service and Support in addition to the existing custom development offerings. As time went on our IT Service and Support offerings grew and we grew to support many businesses of all shapes and sizes. Our team has, and currently does, support operations ranging from single owner-operator small businesses to large multi-national manufacturing enterprises with locations across the country and around the world. Our technicians come in to work every day with a smile on their face and take pride in knowing they are able to provide IT support Services with a personal touch to users around the world.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Every business experiences its own set of challenges and CTI is no different. I would say that our largest obstacle is simply finding the right people to hire. Not everyone has the tenacity to work in our type of environment. We come to work not knowing what challenges the day will bring – which can get frustrating when working on long-term projects. That said, the sense of accomplishment we leave with every day, the level of pride our employees take in their work more than makes up for the challenges this line of work brings.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Computer Technologies, Inc. (also known as CTI) – what should we know?
CTI provides Custom Software Development and IT Support Services to business and residential customers. While we are a small (but growing) team the experience we bring to the table is second to none with regards to the challenges faced by growing businesses expanding their continental and global footprint.
