Today we’d like to introduce you to Khamelah Mitchell.

Melah Mitchell, a Chicago native has been inspired by all facets of fashion from a young age. During the 80’s, the fashion world became a beacon of hope for Melah. Trips downtown and window shopping on Michigan Avenue sparked a desire that has now become more than hobby but a way of life.

Passion and determination has given Melah the opportunity to style for various designers during New York Fashion Week. The excitement, the adrenaline, the networking experience all gave this fashionista the stamp of approval needed to propel her for this new endeavor. This same passion and determination is what sets Melah apart from the rest.

Styling celebrities isn’t Melah’s only desire. She hopes to bring a sense of confidence, style, and boldness to everyone from the gentleman going out for a night on the town to the everyday working woman. Her number one priority while styling clients is to allow men and women to embrace their shape and size all while shopping within their means.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t been smooth, but very hard! Launching my business while working for a staffing agency is beyond challenging. Raising 2 kids, being a wife to a husband who is fighting brain cancer daily is terrifying, yet I have to keep going! Right now, I am full time Fashion Stylist and Uberista aka Uber Driver. Driving Uber is how I am fueling my dreams and making them a reality. I have to get up and out Monday – Sunday and drive for uber to keep my goals of being a Top Fashion Stylist alive. It’s so hard, but yet, I keep going.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Melah styles – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a Fashion Stylist. I am a one woman show when it comes to Fashion and Styling. I am all about women embracing their body and dressing their size. From the inside out! I do personal styling and shopping, Closet Detox, body and color consultations, I can style you for any event and occasion. From a wedding to a Photoshoot! If a person has $40 to a million-dollar budget, I will find the best for my clients.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
To work with Luxury Law who is a top Celebrity stylist who’s from Chicago. To have my own segment on various tv shows “Who Cares What Melah Thinks” to work the red carpets of Hollywood and New York Top events, to be a Dresser backstage for Chanel, Off White, Balmain, and more, and to build my clientele w/ people who can afford me.
