Today we’d like to introduce you to Roch Tranel.
Roch has always had a desire to help people. He started working with Money Concepts Capitol Corp., in October of 1988, which he independently labeled his practice The Tranel Financial Group, while also working full time for C.O.R.S. as a personnel manager. In October of 1989 one year later left C.O.R.S. and went full time into building The Tranel Financial Group. He moved into an office in downtown Libertyville, IL where he grew the organization to 6 employee. The business outgrew that location after 8 years and moved to another location in Libertyville, 401 S Milwaukee St. The practice was only at this location for less than two years due to rapid growth as the team grew to 11 employees and he had grown into the top advisor within in Money Concepts. The last move was to our current location at 1509 N Milwaukee Ave in Libertyville in 2000. He continued to grow the business and hired on more advisors. He built his practice on four basic concepts Do what you say, finish what you start, show up on time, and say please and thank you. He and his team created The Life Enjoyment Experience, which was the process they used to help clients enjoy a better life. He remembers referrals walking in the door asking how do I get this better life you talk about. He is now the CEO and The Tranel Financial Group has 21 team members.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like any business there are always bumps along the way. Most of them good bumps as you grow there are new challenges you face. In the beginning many people did not have or use the internet. So information was not as readily available as it is now. The economic environment has also gone through many highs and lows with the dot com bubble, and housing crisis in 2008 and 2009. We have persevered through all and going strong.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about The Tranel Financial Group – what should we know?
We are an independent and full service financial planning office. We help clients with retirement planning, wealth management, taxes & accounting, Insurance, and estate planning. We specialize in income solutions and have written a book on our core strategy of how we helped thousands of clients called Sunny Side Up. We will also be publishing a new book this November called 8 Things I Wish I Knew Before I Retired.
