Meet Tracey Briggs of Luminere Esthetics and Wellness in Lakeview

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tracey Briggs.

Tracey, owner of Luminere Esthetics and Wellness, has extensive experience in the spa industry and healing arts. From knowledge and practices gathered from the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Lincoln Park/Lakeview of Chicago, Tracey masters the ability to make each client’s session custom-tailored to their needs and to provide them with the necessary essentials for achieving their skin care goals. Working with a mission to magnify one’s complete beauty, Tracey is deeply committed to her clients. With a passion for both Western and Eastern spa treatments, she is well-versed in guiding clients towards achieving bliss and understanding the essentials of skin care. She has been featured on NBC and MTV. Locally, features have appeared on 24/7 Chicago and Best of Chicago (2012).

As an educator, Tracey holds a Ph.D. and has taught at the university level for five years, while continuing her reach in academia by guest lecturing at DePaul University. She also holds a M.A. in education. Her love for teaching and for organic living has inspired her to incorporate this knowledge by offering Aromatherapy and Reiki classes.

Has it been a smooth road?
I’m a female small business owner. Has it been a smooth ride? Never. The biggest struggle has been to continually overcome my own fears.

In addition, I’ve created a long distance facial program, the Skincare Gram, which is the first of its kind. It offers skin care even while my clients cannot come in to the brick and mortar spa.

Hailing from New York and San Francisco, Chicago hands down is the easiest city yet. It is the most supportive for small businesses, the people are top rate, and we have this beautiful lake.
