Today we’d like to introduce you to Anna Tukiendorf-Wilhite.
Anna, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am the co-founder of Tukiendorf Training Institute also known as TTI Medical Training School and co-founder of All Over Pest Solutions. I am also President of Polish Women in Business, a Chicago based not for profit organization comprised of female owned Polish American businesses dedicated to supporting and developing its members’ interests. I also serve on the board of directors of the Polish American Chamber of Commerce (PACC). The PACC represents the interests of Polish-American owned businesses in Chicago and abroad.
I earned my Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Environmental Engineering along with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management in Poland.
My journey towards entrepreneurship began over ten years ago when I worked managing public housing in Chicago. There, though my hard work and unbridled ambition, I developed my business acumen and a unique and dynamic approach to business.
I have always had a passion for helping others and making their lives better. Being an immigrant myself I was very familiar with the struggles immigrants and underprivileged people faced when building a career and finding their place in our society.
Using the skills I had developed, I fulfilled my passion and founded Tukiendorf Training Institute which provides immigrants and other underprivileged persons, especially women, an opportunity to empower themselves through education and a lifelong career in the medical field. I have built a business that is not only prosperous, but provides me with the satisfaction of instilling confidence in others and helping them achieve their dreams.
Through Tukiendorf Training Institute, Anna has helped hundreds of students persevere through the challenges they faced, reach their goals and completely change their lives for the better. Instead of being overcome by a sometimes inescapable hardship, they now have an immense opportunity and can play important roles in our society.
Aside from being a highly successful business woman, Anna also knows the importance of balancing her professional and family life and is the proud mother of three children.
Has it been a smooth road?
My most difficult struggle was learning and becoming proficient in English so that I could successfully communicate and manage my business, I also had to learn the nuances in American vis-a-vis Polish cultures especially in business transactions. Another obstacle I faced was my own perfectionism. It was difficult to adjust to the fact that not everything always falls into place no matter how perfect your plan is or how prepared you are. Another obstacle I faced and continuously face are limitations on my ambitions. I am always full of new and exciting ideas to help my business grow or to start a new business, but sometimes a lack of financial resources limits that.
At the beginning, I also struggled with inherent biases against women business owners, however, I have been able to overcome much of that through the growth and continued success of my business.

Founded in 2011, All-Over Pest Solutions, Inc. is a pest control company that services the entire Chicagoland area. We believe that the client’s problem is our problem. At All-Over, we will not rest until our client’s pest problems are solved to their satisfaction.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Chicago is very diverse and dynamic and is made up of a variety of cultures. No matter who you are, if you have the ambition and are driven to work hard, you can reach your goals. It is a city of opportunities and I am very lucky to live and work here.
There is nothing I do not like about the city with the exception of rush hour traffic.
