Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Morton and Kelsey Haliti.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tina and Kelsey. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Our path in birth work was paved when we became mothers ourselves. We both became infatuated with all things birth and babies right from the start!
Tina: In 2012, my husband and I welcomed our first son, and it was almost immediately that I began guiding and consulting others in the maternity world. After a couple of years, I decided to become professionally trained in maternity consulting, which then evolved into becoming a certified postpartum doula. Becoming a professionally trained birth doula and an Evidence Based Birth® Instructor soon followed, and the rest is history!
Kelsey: My husband and I welcomed our first daughter in 2013, and shorty after I became certified as a Bradley Method® of natural childbirth instructor. I’ve been teaching childbirth education classes for 4 years, and in that time I also became a trained birth and postpartum doula. Being able to provide women and families with full-circle support is my passion!
Through our partnership, we are able to provide expecting families with a wide array of support and services. We have such a passion and love for birth work and for helping women and their families navigate their journey into parenthood. We look forward to evolving, expanding our services, and providing support to more families in the coming years!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has actually been a very smooth road! We have felt very blessed about how welcoming the birth community is, and about how receptive families are to us and how we can support them. Of course, the occasional road block is to be expected but when we keep communication and open mindedness a priority in our partnership model, it’s relatively easy to overcome any obstacle. Constantly evolving and being willing to ebb and flow right along with our environment has been key for us.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Cloud Nine Birth Services story. Tell us more about the business.
We are proud to be providing expecting families with premier and full-circle support as they grow their families. We offer Bradley Method® courses, Evidence Based Birth® courses, Maternity Consulting, Birth Doula Services, and Postpartum Doula Services. We are essentially a one-stop-shop for all things birth and baby!
We believe that the two sets of experience, professional training, and passion we bring to this work sets us apart from others in our field. Both Kelsey and Tina have separate sets of expertise, but we come together as one to help guide and support our clients and their families.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
The universe was on our side and stars aligned when Kelsey and Tina sat down right next to each other during the ProDoula Labor Support training! We connected immediately and decided to pursue a partnership in doula work a few months later. This stroke of luck was out of this world, and we often talk about how fate must have been at play.
