Dennis, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
From an early age, I was surrounded by creative influences. My father was a talented illustrator/artist and passed what some have called the “design gene” on to me. My early interests were interior design, music and psychology. After a short career in counseling, I directed my career focus towards a business in interior design. I started DF Design, Inc in 1991, merging my education of psychology and interior design, to create interior living spaces for people who wanted beautiful environments.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Our changing economy has been a challenge. We’re very grateful for our valued, long term clients, creative staff & consistent marketing plans.

We sell 3 things 1. Interior design consultation, 2. Home furnishings and accessories. 3. Interior design and build.
We specialize in the 3 services just mentioned. I’m most proud of 26 years of high quality work and relationships with our clients. What sets me apart is my ability to listen.
