Today we’d like to introduce you to Matt Mason.
Matt, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started in photography working with a very talented and successful friend and learned the art and business from him. What started out as a nice side job quickly became a full time occupation. I started my own company in 2009 and as a company we have shot nearly 400 weddings. We love wedding photography from start to finish. From meeting with a couple madly in love to booking their photography package, and planning out their day, and then arriving each weekend to a brand new creative and exhilarating experience capturing the love they have for each other is incredibly rewarding and fun. There is nothing quite like it!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
We do feel very blessed to have had a smooth road. Almost all our clients place a high priority on their wedding photos and as a result they buy into what we do and help make our jobs easier and the photos turn out even better. The biggest challenge for me was having the courage to start out on my own with no clients and building a company from scratch.

We are a photography company. We specialize in wedding photography and shoot over 80 weddings a year. We are known for personalized service, same-day photos and video and we were voted best of Walworth County four years running.

What were you like growing up?
I was a strong willed child. Very outgoing and loved to be around people. Whatever I was into I was in 100% my interests and activities ranged from oil painting to ninja throwing stars to skateboarding to junior ROTC in high school.
