Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Shadrack.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
From a very young age, I have loved singing, acting, and making people smile. As I grew older I trained in theater, performed in shows and had a dream of becoming an actress! Princesses have always been such a source of great inspiration for me, and I always dreamt of making dreams come true for others. The company was born more than six years ago when a friend suggested I should dress up as a fairytale Princess for her child’s birthday, and it was the most magical time for all of the kids- and myself! When I was 18, I married my childhood sweetheart Parosh, and he helped me create a website and has been the brains behind the company ever since! Now, we have more than 15 characters available to book, and each of our actresses sing live and are trained in theater! We perform for numerous events at Blackberry Farm, Odyssey Fun World, Fox Valley Mall, and more! My heart belongs to all of the sweet children of Chicago, and my ultimate goal is to make their every dream come true. We take extra care in making our Princesses and Characters as realistic as possible and truly have a wonderful team of goodhearted young people working beside us!
Has it been a smooth road?
We have grown so much over the past five years and have learned a ton! One of the hardest things about owning your own business is having to do everything yourself- from booking clients and scheduling events all the way to maintaining gowns and wigs! As the owner, I always feel the need to answer every call whenever the phone rings, or answer each email right away! I have trouble shutting it off and taking a break because it is my business, and overall that has been the biggest struggle for me. At the end of the day, we have done some great work and are making kids smile every weekend!

Princess Party Chicago Inc. offers high quality Princess and Superhero Characters for parties and events! Each of our Princesses sing live and are professionally trained in acting as well. When you choose us for your event, you are getting the most realistic and talented Characters who all have a driving desire to make your kids smile! We strive to “make magic happen” everyday! We are very well known for our singing and acting performances as well as our high quality costumes and wigs!
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We would love to continue growing and potentially offer our services in more cities all over the country! We would love to keep branching out and meeting more adorable children!
