The company was created by Bob Macko, a multi-talented fine artist, designer, photographer and musician. Bob started his artistic path at a very early age, and acquired a license to sell art professionally at the age of 7. As a former Student Ambassador to the U.S., his passion for the creative arts expanded with digital art, photography, and music film score compositions.
As a photographer, he’s traveled to such countries as Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Australia, Egypt, and Costa Rica. He sells his photographic prints on canvas to a global clientele and galleries. Additionally, Bob offers local product photography, 360 degree spin photography, real estate & architectural photography, and portrait photography services. Some of his travel photography has been displayed on the National Geographic website.
As a musician, his career as a performer has spanned nearly 20 years. Bob currently creates with over 12 different instruments, has released and contributed to over 10 albums spanning a wide range of genres. He continues to perform throughout the Midwest with his project “MahaRa”, and also offers professional film score and production work for documentaries, video production and film.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
There are always challenges to overcome in business, however I’ve been very fortunate that it has not been a very difficult path compared to other companies. I feel strongly that you attract people and business based upon the virtues that you personally live by; and with that intention, I’ve had the pleasure of working with some phenomenal individuals and companies throughout my career.

Lux Productions is a full service company, offering web design, graphic design, website hosting, SEO / search engine optimization, product photography services, music / film score production, social media marketing, video editing, etc. Website design is our primary focus, though we are equally masterful in all services we offer.
Being given the title as “Best Website Designer in Chicago” after being evaluated against 837 Illinois companies is a great honor. We’ve defined ourselves based upon our creative passion, attention to detail, love of technological evolution and most importantly our core ethical integrity.
