I am a beauty guide for LimeLife by Alcone. I am a wife and mother of two girls, 10 and 12 years old; since my girls are pretty self-sufficient now, I felt like I really needed something for myself. I started LimeLife by Alcone as a hobby seven months ago, but grew to love it so much more than that and quickly realized that I love it as my career!
I’m like by Alcone offers all natural skin care products and professional grade makeup. Alcone, out of New York that has been around since the 50s, was always the leading go to for professional makeup including celebrities, TV news anchors, & movie stars. Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
With the help of other ladies on my team, and the transparency of our CEOs the many live online pieces of training, get-togethers, and resources available, it has definitely been a smooth road.
When I decided to purchase my LimeLife by Alcone starter kit and join the NorthStar beauties team, I had no idea how much it would CHANGE my life! I am growing in self-love, self-confidence and am so thankful for the friendships that have grown because of it!
I was not very good at doing my own makeup, let alone someone else’s… and having a one-on-one six months ago would have given me so much anxiety! I can say that because of the amazing live weekly training we can watch, along with having these awesome products at my fingertips, I’m learning new tips every day… having a one-on-one now, and making my customer feel confident and beautiful in how she looks and be confident in the ingredients she is putting on her skin is definitely one of my favorite things about my LimeLife journey. 💕
Being consistent is key, showing up for my network, giving valuable tips and tricks and being there for my team day or night is very important to me.

Please tell us about LimeLife by Alcone.
I love helping women feel beautiful. I do offer in-home parties or online parties but my favorite thing to do is meet with a woman one on one and do her makeup and make her feel amazing and when her smile says it all! I love that the products we offer are harsh chemical free so you feel good about putting it on your skin and when you wash your face, you feel good about the environment when it goes down the drain. I love that our makeup and all products are paraben free and I love that my girls use skin care products and I feel good about what they are putting on their skin!

Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
I feel like as women we get in our own way, we are always in our head telling ourselves that we are not good enough or there is someone else out there that is better or could do better at this job but we just need to empower ourselves and build each other up because we do deserve to be a female leader and entrepreneurs!
