Meet Daniel Weisberg

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Weisberg. Him and his team share his story with us below.

Please kick things off for us with some background on the story.
NDPNDNT, pronounced “independent”, but spelled without the vowels, is a 24 year old biracial African American hip hop artist and actor from Chicago, Illinois.  He recently graduated Columbia College Chicago in May 2018 with a bachelor’s in Business & Entreprenuership.  He is an alumni for Donda’s House, now known as the “art of culture”, started by Donda West, mother of Kanye West. He has performed in various venues such as the Taste of Chicago, North Coast and WGN, all in 2018. NDPNDNT has been mentored by artists such as Rhymefest, Add-2, Jamila Woods, and Donnie Smith. The name of his mixtape is “Voiceless”, and is available on all major streaming platforms.  He believes to be the future “voice for the voiceless”.

Please tell us about NDPNDNT.
NDPNDNT is a creator of many types of music but mainly focuses on hip-hop. He is an emcee but does not like to be categorized as just a “rapper”, but an artist of versatility… NDPNDNT makes music for the voiceless, or the people without a voice in their struggles, and for the people that go through relatable issues, such as relationship errors, school systems and more. The message is to be comfortable in your own skin no matter what environment you’re in. Then, when you’re comfortable in your own skin, don’t be afraid to step out your shell because nobody should be able to box you in. NDPNDNT’s art is honest to the core. Everything he talks about he’s either lived through or witnessed and he doesn’t curse in his music to widen the demographic.

Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
How much do you believe in what you want? How much faith do you have that your limited funds going to what you love to do is worth it? It’s all about faith for me. If you believe in God, in the Bible it talks about walking on water and sinking because the faith wasn’t strong enough. If you don’t believe in that, then think like this, “I only live once and there are people working harder than me”. Don’t allow yourself to feel like someone is working harder than you, however, it’s not a competition. Be the best YOU! As an up and coming artist, you’ll have to make sacrifices or you’ll never get to the point where money isn’t an issue. INVEST IN YOURSELF, but PROPERLY!!!

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
“Voiceless” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, iTunes, Amazon and more if you just type in “NDPNDNT” or “NDPNDNT Voiceless.”
