Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Kolowski.
Haley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always loved the fashion industry & it’s been a life long dream of mine to one day start my own business.
The idea of Well Dressed Littles began after my daughter, Isla was born in June 2016. I officially launched my boutique in July 2017.
While searching for trendy, unique, affordable clothing options for my baby girl, I noticed that there was a huge need in my community and the surrounding communities for this business.
We started with our website, and doing local pop-up events & then in June 2018, we grew our business & launched our retail space inside a local brick and mortar.
Our mission has always been to serve our customers by carrying the best of the best when it comes to children’s clothing & accessories. We want our customers to always have a fun & enjoyable experience while shopping with us!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Oh goodness! This is such a great question. I feel like there is a misconception that running your own business, and being your own boss doesn’t come with struggles or hardships but, it totally does.
My advice for those of you that are just starting out is to keep moving forward. There will be days that you want to quit. I promise that the days following those “bad days” will show up for you in BIG ways & you will quickly be reminded of just how amazing you, your business, and your customers are!
I remember when I first started my business, there would be mistakes that I would make & I would tell my husband “well, I’m definitely never doing that again” but, truly you are going to make mistakes. We are human. I have learned that our mistakes are opportunities to grow. Allow them to propel you forward into victories within your business.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into Well Dressed Littles Clothing Boutique story. Tell us more about the business.
We specialize in curating a collection of children’s clothing & accessories that are fashion forward, high quality & affordable. We are most proud of the fact that you can’t find the items we carry everywhere. We find the newest brands in the children’s clothing industry and bring them to our customers in a hassle-free shopping experience. We carry sizes newborn through size 13/14.
Who do you look up to? How have they inspired you?
The woman that has inspired me the most in my life is my sweet mama. She has the most amazing servant heart. She has taught me to give God all the glory, and to reach out & spread kindness to all the people I meet.
Also, all of the small business women in my community & all over the world are such an inspiration to me. I absolutely love watching their businesses grow, listening to what their passions are for their business, and the tenacity they have to never give up.
