Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee K.
Lee, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I loved and admired art when I was young, but I wasn’t such a prominent student. By chance, I started to go to art high school and started to do art in earnest. Simply, I loved painting so much but I had no natural talent, so I was just a hard worker.
I won first prize for the first time by art. I majored in painting in college, but I was not a big fan of students.
I also thought deeply about my major. I became interested in not only painting but also visual design and illustration.
I broadened my perspective and perspective. Although I still work as an artist, I have never regretted as an artist, and I constantly live with the desire and hope for this job.
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
It is seeking variety of expressions through various materials. Let me briefly tell you about my art.
It is a depiction of human emotions. Especially, I want to show my worries about the dark side of human being through pictures.
Using low-intensity materials such as pencils and charcoal pens means that black-and-white illustrations can make those parts of a human being more attractive.
I think it can explain well and help me imagine. I’m going to show you various techniques
Show it through.
The advantage of my technique is to maximize each material’s physical nature without compromising it.
Do current events, local or global, affect your work and what you are focused on?
Yet I think it’s a process of growing up as an artist. I will be working with a lot of commission.
The biggest goal is to have a private exhibition at a gallery in Chicago or New York.
I want to interact with many people and I want to communicate with them from the bottom up.
I’m not limited to social media, and I’m having a lot of conversations on the ground, and I’m sharing my work with people.
And the more diverse material and canvas sizes that I have to deal with are also a future task. From now on, I will make a lot of effort to become a true artist and hope to love and share art.
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
My debut as a writer is SNS. He started with Instagram and had a lot of followers. As a result, you can be recognized as an artist and experience various commission and collaboration arts. Of course, I want to experience more art work through SNS in the future.
