Justin, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
We started HealthJoy in 2014, we were frustrated by the complexity of healthcare and the lack of solutions that could provide helpful personalized guidance. Since then, we’ve helped tens of thousands of people make smarter healthcare decisions and lowered companies’ healthcare costs. We use advanced technologies like our artificial intelligent power virtual assistant, JOY that helps people with all aspects of their healthcare.
Has it been a smooth road?
We initially started selling our product to individuals with the rollout of Obamacare in 2014. We quickly got plenty of interest from companies to use our product. We quickly saw that we had better market fit selling to companies and pivoted the company to sell exclusively to groups in 2016. This pivot required us to redo huge portions of our business, including our technology platform, service department, marketing and more.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best part about Chicago is its skyline, the food, and the walkability. I think my least favorite part of the city is the winter weather. I grew up mostly in Florida, so it’s been a tough adjustment.
