Today we’d like to introduce you to Hope Firsel.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Hope. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My professional background includes years of consulting and coaching. After earning my master’s degree from The London School of Economics, in Organizational Behavior, I began my consulting career with Hewitt Associates. At Hewitt, I provided change management consulting for mergers, acquisitions and start-ups. Then, I joined FPL Advisory Group to focus on change management consulting within the real estate and the financial services industry.
I have a great passion for team building, branding, communications and leadership development. Over the years, I have always continued my education, a few years ago I became a certified Life Coach. Currently, I am taking self-awareness courses at Full Bloom Lotus, in Wilmette.
As Vice President of Communications at Quantum Real Estate Advisors, I am responsible for HR, public relations, marketing and communications. #QREAdvisors
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My professional career has had to be halted several times throughout my life because of health reasons. When our boys were only ages one and three, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My cancer journey included two surgeries and 12 rounds of chemo. It took me years to regain my health and return to the work world. I am proud to say, today I am a 6-year cancer “thriver.”

Quantum Real Estate Advisors, Inc. executes strategic investment advisory and facilitation processes for buyers and sellers of single-tenant retail, office and industrial properties and multi-tenant retail properties. With a national platform, we serve clients including property owners, developers, institutions, REITs, banks, special servicers, property managers and fund managers.
Our extensive knowledge and resources have produced a current total of nearly $2 billion in closed single-tenant and multi-tenant transactions across the country.
I am most proud of our company’s organizational culture. Our team is filled with a group of professionals that have become close friends. We are small in numbers, but far in reach. The entire team is passionate, hardworking and committed to always providing the highest level of customer service. Our culture is inclusive, and you can feel this the moment you walk in the office.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moments are when the leadership team sees the values of my work. When you are a specialist in, what is often noted to be, the soft side of business, it can be hard to correlate bottom line with the efforts made to improve the human side of business. Most recently the investment sales team announced that it was my efforts, to enhance our business and people strategy, that allowed our firm to establish new client relationships and even some of our newest exclusive listings!
