Meet Ellen Rogin of Create Great in Northfield

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ellen Rogin.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ellen. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Early in my career as a financial planner I realized that smart, successful people sometimes spend a lot of their energy worrying about their money, even when they have a lot of it. I’ve seen others feel embarrassed (even ashamed) they aren’t better at saving, managing, and investing their money. Money can be a source of great joy and contribution and also stress and dysfunction.

I knew there had to be a better way. A better way to use money as a force for doing good…Good for yourself, your family and your community.

Over the years I’ve leveraged my expertise and experience to develop prosperity strategies to share with a boarder audience than the people I works with individually. I share these when she works with individuals, large groups in presentations, and articles and books. I love showing people how to create prosperity on purpose.

My favorite thing to hear after I meet with someone or speak to a group is “I feel so much better.” Money shouldn’t need to be an area of stress and worry.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I’ve been accused of being relentlessly upbeat – a description, well, I happily accept. The growth of my businesses has not happened on what I originally thought would be the time frame, but looking back has been the perfect time frame.

The recession in the early 2000’s was stressful, but ultimately lead to huge business growth for me. I was able to switch my attention from how bad the markets were, to how much people needed my advice and guidance.

During the 2008 recession, of course business dropped initially, but ultimately stabilized and grew. It was a time that I was able to get my first book out into the world (“Great with Money”) which then paved the way for my second book (“Picture Your Prosperity: Smart Money Moves to Turn Your Vision into Reality.”)

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Create Great story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a speaker, author and money expert. I show audiences how to succeed in any economy, create opportunities, and make a greater positive impact. Through my programs participants are empowered and prepared to flip the switch from money stress to money confidence – to create Prosperity on Purpose.

I share a new way of looking at money beyond the traditional financial literacy conversation – Financial Belief Management. One that expands to include how your thoughts and beliefs truly create your money reality and how generosity can actually bring you more of what you desire.

My unique system of blending classic money moves with creative strategies works whether you are running a business or planning for your personal finances.

My “super power” is helping people feel calmer about their money. I see generosity as the currency for success, prosperity, and business growth. This is not the typical way that money is discussed, but the typical ways don’t work for most people.

This approach helped to push my book Picture Your Prosperity: Smart Money Moves to Turn Your Vision into Reality to the New York Times Bestseller List.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t think in terms of luck. I see any success that I’ve had being based upon a clear vision of how I can best serve people. The clearer I am the more easily the right contacts, business opportunities and clients come my way.
