Today we’d like to introduce you to Braylen Stevens.
Braylen, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I remember growing up and having a hard time trying to figure out the best way to fit in. It was hard because I knew what I wasn’t interested in but also knew what I needed to do to fit in. I was never the best at sports but I made the best out of it. Instead, I had a true passion for the performing arts as something always sat with me after hearing music, watching live theatre and work-related. From there on, I knew that I was going to be different as art was not something that was very exciting to many others my age.
I was always considered “different” because I hung with people that were older and simply had different interest. Because I wasn’t the big athlete, I would hide my artistic talents and did not as often MBRACE the gifts I was given. I remember I would do shows but no one knew about them and would dislike when it would come up in conversations because I knew no one was interested. I was shy and a bit of ashamed because of what I loved to do knowing no one else my age really had similar interests.
It wasn’t until my junior year of high school in which I really started MBRACIN’ my talents and what I felt to be the thing for me. It was how I expressed myself and as I grew older, I began to realize that being different was totally fine, and in retrospect, not “just fine” but great. As I began to build and grow I was doing shows, sharing more, and just felt relieved as I began MBRACING my culture, myself, my talents, and what I truly loved. And with that, MBRACED Culture was established to let people from ALL walks of life know that something isn’t important to others until it is important and MBRACED by YOU! By walking with PURPOSE and having that mindset, it has carried MBRACED CULTURE to the foundation it has today.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
With MBRACED been running for five months now, it has been a GREAT ride thus far. These last few months have been nothing short of successful within each pipeline. Though some days are slower than others sale wise, MBRACED is making progress in other areas which I am EXTREMELY proud of.
When it comes to challenges, I think patience for me as the CEO is a big thing. I get excited REALLY quick and once things happen, I am always thinking how it can be better, bigger and/or what is next. I would also say being a creative is definitely not easy when you have so many ideas and routes you want to go. Plus I am a full time college student with other obligations and ventures, running a business is WORK but fun all at once!
So, as you know, we’re impressed with MBRACED CULTURE – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
MBRACED CULTURE’s name sets it apart from other names and brands primarily because of its spelling and presentation. If you see our logo, the word EMBRACED is missing the “E”. This is done to set the uniqueness of our brand representing DIFFERENCE, AUTHENTICITY and a foundation of PURPOSE. This sets the tone of what we want EVERY individual that encounters our service(s) and/or walks the lifestyle of an MBRACED CULTURE especially through the branding of our apparel items.
MBRACED CULTURE focuses on three PIPELINES:
OUTREACH – Created to restructure the availability of resources within one’s community in an attempt to uplift holistically (done through community service projects, on-site workshops focusing on self-branding, soft skills, professional skills, the accounting profession, and other subjects tailored to a specified audience).
PROMOTION – Put in place to help create platforms and opportunities to assist in exposure and development. (Done through social media platforms and one-on-one contact to assist with the planning, execution, and conclusion stages of performing arts-related events).
APPAREL – Designed to project authentic and bold statements directly to the human eye through fashion (done through daily execution and advertising of sales) – also our MOST TRENDING PIPELINE at the moment.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am currently in the process of planning and workshopping new material for school groups happening during the Winter. MBRACED CULTURE is also in the process of extending the CULTURED line (apparel) for the Winter and after winter season. I would say that those two are the biggest focuses at the moment along with a few other projects and opportunities but STAY TUNED!!!!
