Meet Andrew Wille

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Wille.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
After graduating college I picked up photography as a hobby to help get me out and meet new people. I had no idea it would take me to where I am today. I bought my first camera down in Orange County, CA but it wasn’t until I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area that photography really took off for me. As I was new to the area and didn’t know a single person, photography quickly became a fun way for me to get out and explore the city, and meet likeminded people along the way. The photography community out here is really unique; I haven’t met a mean or selfish person through photography out here. Everyone is so welcoming and always down to meet up. I can now easily say that photography has become my biggest passion in life.

Please tell us about your art.
For as long as I can remember I’ve had a deep interest in photography. I’ve always believed that a single photo has the ability to inspire or even change someone’s life, and I try to embody that in each of my photographs. I’m inspired by capturing and sharing the beauty of nature and of fascinating places around the world with others.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
My best advice would be to immerse yourself in your local photography community, and get out to shoot with people as often as you can. Moving to the Bay Area really pushed me to grow not only as a photographer but also as a person. I saw all these great photographers that I looked up to, and I eventually had the opportunity to meet them and shoot together. When you shoot with other photographers, you can learn so much from one another. You may all go out together, but all come back with different angles and compositions that you would have never thought of on your own.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
People can check out my work either on my website at, or on my Instagram at Prints are available to purchase from my website and every print sold helps support my work. Any profits from photography seem to go right back into photography trips, gear, etc.
