Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Alexander.
Ryan, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I’m an artist that produces and writes his own music, as well as, a musician that plays the piano and drums. I’ve been playing the piano for about 13 years, and the drums for 14 years. I’ve also been producing for 11 years. I produce a mixture of Hip-Hop, R&B, and Soul, creating my own genre called, New Wave Soul!
Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I’m an artist, that’s grazing multiple lanes of sounds and genres through production, while sharing my real life stories and experiences. I aspire to inspire people to be courageous, transparent, and genuine. Most of the new music will be an emotional rollercoaster, with romance played in story form, as I walk you thru the moments of falling & being in love on my first album, Inspired By You.
What would you recommend to an artist new to the city, or to art, in terms of meeting and connecting with other artists and creatives?
I strongly encourage artist to check out local open mics, and seek as many opportunities to be in a space with other artist and musicians. Get out here, network, and find a place of comfort where you can grow & be great!
