Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Ringier.
Sharon Ringiér is the Founder and Creative Director of Sharon Ringiér Events, a Chicago-based Special Event & Wedding Planning company since March of 1997. She is also the co-author of Socially Smart and Savvy, a book where experts share their secrets to success as well as the Founder for the newly launched Women’s Empowerment Conference – “I’m Possible.” Since childhood Sharon has allowed Chicago, her hometown to continue to inspire and challenge her love for all things bridal. “I thrive on exploring never thought of possibilities and creating one of a kind experiences.” Sharon is known for her exuberant personality and can do attitude, which has put her in a position to create some of the most romantic, exciting and beautiful events in Chicago.
She has worked with amazing clients from the Queen of Blues, Shemekia Copeland, a three-time Grammy nominee to Ty Kovach, Executive Director for the Lake County Forest Preserves, and many in between helping to bring their visions to life. Finding inspiration in any event she hosts, Sharon’s execution and creativity have helped make her name known in the Bridal & Event industry. Whether planning a birthday party, Mother’s Day Brunch or her “anticipated” yearly ornament exchange, her focus is to create an experience leaving guests wanting more. Sharon Ringiér’s ability to take a client’s vision and turn it into a masterpiece has put her in a position where numerous awards and recognition have become an everyday part of life. For 2014, Sharon received the Wedding Industry Experts Awards for best Event Designer in all of Illinois. April 2013, she had the honor of receiving Wedding Industry Experts Award for both Best Event Designer and Best Wedding Planner of the Year. In 2012, Sharon was BizBash 2012 Readers Choice Finalist for Best Event Designer, Wedding Industry Experts Finalist for Best Event Designer and Finalist for Best Wedding Planner categories, as well as, receiving the WeddingWire Brides Choice Award in 2011 & 2012.
Sharon’s gift and enthusiasm aids her clients to visualize and personalize their event from start to finish. Even with numerous accomplishments, Sharon never forgot what is important, her clients. She continues to be that creative support for her clients, always putting her personal touch in every event. “I treat every event, every party and every wedding as if it were my own.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being an entrepreneur is never a smooth road. The struggles and challenges that I was faced with was finding balance between business and family. Life is going to happen whether you like it or not. But I was not going to compromise my family or my standards and I wasn’t willing to compromise my business. So… I learned to accept whatever circumstance or issues and they worked around them.

Right now, I’m super proud to announce that I’m producing a Women’s Empowerment Conference next February 2018. I genuinely love helping others by empowering and inspiring them to do great things. This conference allows me to mentor other female business owners to find their greatness and uncover their qualities.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I don’t think I would do anything differently. I feel that all of the opportunities for growth are why I’m where I am today. I can use life’s lessons to help others to do their job well, or create amazing events.
