Today we’d like to introduce you to Justine Bursoni.
Justine, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
In high school, I took classes at Gallery 37 in downtown Chicago. I owe everything to their phenomenal program.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Never. Nor will it be. Being an independent business owner is probably one of the toughest roads to take. But, it is also the most rewarding.
Justine Bursoni Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I work in concert photography and wedding photography. My clients from each field are actually quite similar in many ways. You only get one chance to get the shot you want.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
I was awarded Top 50 Photographer by Photolucida for my photo series on death from ALS. I committed many hours to following one family coping with an ALS diagnosis and I learned a great deal through this personal project.
