Meet Tyler Kirsch of Eredità Shoes in River North

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Kirsch.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Tyler. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I wasn’t always in the business of men’s footwear. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in psychology from John Carroll University, I got my start in chemicals and plastics sales working for several companies managing the Midwest, based out of Chicago. It wasn’t until a 2015 trip to Florence that I realized my passion for the Italian legacy of handmade leather craftsmanship.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Starting your own business is never entirely smooth – it takes a lot of work and dedication, but I’ve been lucky to have very loyal clientele and have been growing consistently over the past year.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
The vision for Eredità Shoes came to me while walking through the streets of Florence on a mission to find myself a great pair of shoes. I came across beautifully handcrafted, Italian leather products on nearly every corner and spent hours in various shops. After hours of searching, I found just the pair at a small family-run cobbler shop.

As I sat there thinking about my experience, I realized he needed to share the gorgeous gift of Italian craftsmanship and personal touch with the world. That is the goal and mission of Eredità Shoes: to deliver the highest quality, handmade, Italian leather shoes to those who value craftsmanship and personal style.

Our mission is to deliver unmatched design standards at an affordable price, I scoured the Italian countryside for family-run factories with decades of experience and dedication to the craft. This allows me to confidently stand behind Eredità products.

What were you like growing up?
I was very energetic, always involved in sports and group activities, outgoing, and adventurous.
