Sheehan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I have always had a passion to travel and explore the world, which I share with my wife. We renew our vows every year in a new country and I started booking a photographer to memorialize the event. It takes considerable time to research to find a talented photographer for a reasonable price, but the product of perfect memories was worth it. I thought other travelers would like a similar experience without the headache and risk of having to find a photographer on their own. I created the company to provide travelers the opportunity to bring home their precious memories. We started as a business-to-customer company but realized that businesses that focus on travel and weddings could utilize our services for their clients and build a strong revenue and reputation. We have expanded to over 70 major destinations worldwide and are continuing to grow, which allows our customers to capture their experiences in almost any part of the world.
Has it been a smooth road?
The development of a new business is never an easy endeavor. The biggest struggle is to market and get your services known to your general target audience. The customers who use our services have always enjoyed the experience of a photographer catering to them and the beautiful photos of their vacation, but finding new customers is the hardest part. We have included a business-to-business model to reach businesses (e.g. travel agencies, wedding planners, wedding photographers) who have clients traveling for a vacation or honeymoon. The companies who use our international vacation photography services for their clients benefit by obtaining additional revenue and differentiating their services from other similar companies. The addition of this approach has increased our reach to new customers.

We are an international vacation photography company with local photographers in over 70 major international destinations. We are known for high-quality, tailored photo shoots that give the highlights of the major destination and the hidden gems. We are able to cover single/couple/family vacations, large group trips, honeymoons, babymoons, and destination weddings. We are proud of the quality of the photographers that we choose to be part of our network. We are also the first international vacation photography business to publicly focus on the business-to-business market, which benefits the businesses and the travelers. Finally, as a minority-owned business, we aim for inclusivity in our clientele to make sure it is accessible to individuals from all backgrounds.

Chicago was a perfect place to launch my business. Chicago is a city that has a passion for travel and culture and attracts millions of visitors each year. This is evident by the two international airports and Chicago hitting a record number of visitors last year. Even more, Chicago is full of resources to help a company succeed and has a warm, collaborative culture where business relationships can flourish.
