Meet Ridha Sekhri of Twelve&TwentyEight in Bartlett

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ridha Sekhri.

Ridha, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
A regular job in the IT sector was never really my cup of tea. I was always seeking something different, something unique; a trait that I got from my dad. Design was always my passion so, I followed that and started freelancing. I took up small graphic design jobs just to learn and enhance my skills, never knowing this phase would be a stepping stone! As destiny had it, things took a more serious turn when my friend and now husband, Ankit pushed me hard to start something of my own. So, we launched this venture 6 months ago, naming it after our collective date of births!. I am the creative one, I bring peoples’ visions to life through my designs. My partner is the outgoing one, a champion of ideas and possibilities. Together we make things happen with pure passion and dedication. Your brand is our brand and we work hard to build it.

Since we are small, growing and learning each day; we understand the needs of startups and small businesses more closely. It gives us such pleasure working with unique and cool businesses that just like us are learning each day. Together, we help each other grow and do exciting stuff!

Has it been a smooth road?
Establishing yourself as an entrepreneur is always a little tricky in the beginning. It is a journey in itself to make prospective clients believe in your skills and how we can add value to their business. Moreover, every tiny thing has to be managed on our own – marketing, meeting with clients, understanding their unique needs, delivering the work on time, maintaining the brand’s social media presence, all this and a lot more!

Every day is a new experience when it comes to entrepreneurship and it feels great to successfully manage all the challenging situations.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Ours is a freelance design services venture called Twelve&TwentyEight. We started out about 6 months ago to cater to the small and medium businesses around us, not just for their graphic design needs but also to help them build and grow their brands in an optimum way. We are a small yet strong team of two and we specialize in providing personalized services to our clients. No two businesses are same and hence their design requirements are unique too. We believe in listening to their story, their needs, giving suggestions as to what would work for them, All in all, we work together with our clients to provide them the best experience. We provide the following design services – branding and identity, print and digital.

We have had the pleasure of working with cool startups, small and medium established businesses, creative freelancers across USA. We have extensive experience that spans across the following domains – education, beauty and wellness, real estate, healthcare, food, entertainment, jewelry and trading.

What makes us really proud today is the community service/volunteering which has been a very satisfying experience. We offer our design services to very small businesses that need to build their brand but cannot afford it. Together with the ‘Start Small Think Big’ organization, we help out such businesses.
