Meet Ramon Shalit of Primary CrossFit & Yoga in Uptown and Edgewater

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ramon Shalit.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Ramon. So, what should we know about you and the Primary CrossFit & Yoga story?
My wife Stephanie has been teaching Yoga for years, I love CrossFit and we thought offering both would be a great compliment. We offer both CrossFit and Yoga. We feel that the athlete can benefit most by mixing both disciplines. We also strive to keep our BOX super clean and our showers and locker rooms immaculate.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s been a slow steady growth. The community aspect of CrossFit is real big and we have a wonderful strong community of athletes who have become friends. Getting people past the intimidation factor of CrossFit- having them see the program is designed for all shapes and sizes, where an out of shape person can work out alongside an exceptionally fit individual.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I feel fortunate to be able to help people get healthy and change their lives. We have some people who literally are new ‘people ‘ -lost 60 lbs. and cholesterol is under 200 for the first time in their life!
