Meet Lawrence Levy of Enrollment Rx in Schiller Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lawrence Levy.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Lawrence. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Enrollment Rx was born as a result of many conversations that I had with David Donenberg and Marc Satin about the technology needs of Higher Education in recruitment, admissions, and enrollment management. It wasn’t until we attended Salesforce’s annual conference called Dreamforce in 2008, however, that we finally found a plausible way to actually develop and deliver a solution to the higher education market.

During that show, in his keynote speech, Marc Benioff talked at length about how companies should be building their software products on the Salesforce platform, with enormous cost savings and speed to market benefits. That strategy sounded great to us, and we fully committed to hitching our little wagon to the Salesforce star. It has been a wild and crazy ride, but that decision to build on Salesforce remains one our best we ever made and has been an enormous part of our rapid success as a leader in the ed-tech sector.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My father says, “If you are in business and you have never had a black-eye, then you are not really in business”. Most business, of course, does not enjoy a smooth road and Enrollment Rx is no exception. As a boot-strapped company, we always work very hard to maintain growth, customer success, and product innovation, while balancing our limited resources. I’m proud to say that the company has managed to grow into a healthy thriving company, with many clients across the country, but it certainly was not always easy-going.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Enrollment Rx – what should we know?
Enrollment Rx builds software products that transform Salesforce into a CRM system for recruitment and admissions in higher education. Enrollment Rx’s products empower our clients and end users with the ability to create, modify and configure functionality with mouse clicks (“Clicks not Code”). Enrollment Rx endeavors to deliver easy-to-use products that can be manipulated by non-IT personnel, rather than forcing our clients to invent functionality from scratch, write extensive lines of code and logic, or place an extra burden on their IT departments.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
