Meet Janice Garcia and Jennifer Galligani of Beyond Your Dream Events Corporation

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janice Garcia and Jennifer Galligani.

Janice and Jennifer, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
The father of Janice’s youngest son started his own photo booth business back in 2015. At the time, Janice was his assistant and helped him grow his business while at the same time gaining knowledge about the industry. She met a lot of vendors and got a general idea of certain customer needs. She reached out to one of the vendors that she had meet at an expo. They were looking to hire sales associates. Having knowledge in the industry she hopped on board and was assigned the role of Sales Director- Northwest Suburbs region. Simultaneously, Jennifer Galligani was also assigned the role of Director of Administrative Functions at that company. We both clicked as we both had this sarcastic and goofy but professional way of going about our responsibilities. We established a friendship and the topic of opening up our own business eventually popped up so we did & that’s when Beyond Your Dream Events Corporation was born!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We used to have the mindset that beginning your own business was going to be easy and that anyone can do it when the truth is there is nothing “easy” about starting your own business. Entrepreneurship involves a lot of time, energy and motivation if you truly want your business to succeed. There is a lot of decision making involved where you need to take a lot of things into account, including your personal morals, other people’s morals, customer needs, the industry & your vision for the company. You also have to be ready to think outside the box at all times and be ready for some of your ideas to fail. Just because you think that something is a great idea, doesn’t mean your audience will. Ask for ideas and feedback from your customers, friends and family and be prepared to take risks.

Beyond Your Dream Events Corporation – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Our legal name is Beyond Your Dream Events Corporation. We specialize in photo booth, uplighting, dancing on the clouds, string lights & chiavari chair rentals for all events. We are known for the high level of detail we execute prior to all of the events we service. We perfect our photo strips design for each and every one of our customers prior to their event. We present all backdrops and LED colors available for our photo booth service prior to their events. We send photos of all available memory books we have in stock prior to their events. We provide free uplighting demonstrations at venues prior to booking with us. We will call the venue and make sure the venue allows the dancing on the clouds service before booking with us. From colors & memory books to backdrops & coordination we will never assume what a customer wants and what we can and can’t do. Every event & every customer is different and we customize all of our services to meet every individual’s needs.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is a job well done, a smile on our customers face and a hug and sincere thank you at the end of every event. Success is knowing that our customers were satisfied with our services, when we receive positive reviews on our websites and when we receive referrals from past customers.
