Meet Hannah Pflederer of TheFullColorLife in West Loop

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hannah Pflederer.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Hannah. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started writing my blog, TheFullColorLife when I was going through a horrible break up. I found myself with a lot of creative energy. During this time I had a lot of friends from different parts of the United States and the world. Chicago is so diverse if you are open to learning about different cultures. To forget about the break up I took out my acrylic paints again after storing them away for a bit. I had this inspiring idea that I would interview my friends and write about their culture. I also started to paint with acrylics, the Chicago skyline. I wanted each painting to tell a story and that’s when I started writing the blog. That’s where TheFullColorLife started.

My blog has progressed over the last two years and became a lifestyle fashion blog, featuring other’s stories and my acrylic paintings of Chicago. I also have a passion for talking about sustainable fashion. I want us to keep talking about the flaws of the fashion industry just so people know. I also want sustainable fashion to be marketed as fun and forward. When I feature sustainable fashion brands I think of how I can create each photo to illustrate how each piece of clothing can be a part of a fun outfit. I hope when others read or stop by TheFullColorLife that they will be inspired to give back, share their story and be reminded to not limit themselves.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I don’t think anything worth it is easy. Or let me put it this way, anything hard is worth it. I think creative blocks are the worst and I have had many of those. Working full time in radio broadcasting and writing a fashion blog and getting my master in clinical mental health can be exhausting. However, I know myself now. As an artist, I need many different avenues of creativity to give me energy. The other funny obstacle is getting past what others think. Every time I share with a guy I am dating or a family member or a friend about media and fashion I get blank stares. You have to get past those stares and do what you know you were created for.

TheFullColorLife – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a fashion blogger. Most of my content centers around positive vibes and what sets me apart from other bloggers is the fact that I mix in sustainable brands with your typical everyday fashion brands. Every brand I promote has at least one green or sustainable aspect in their company. My blog is Chicago street style meets sustainable fashion. My paintings are all for sale and you can view my work on TheFullColorLife.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is striving to be the best version of myself along with having the peace of mind that I am able to add color, joy and a smile into someone else’s life.
