Meet Elizabeth Pytka of Sparkle and Shine Cleaning Co in Streamwood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Pytka.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My company was established in 1998. We are a family owned business that takes pride in quality over quantity. I started my business by handing out door to door flyers. Eventually, I started putting free ads online and moved up to advertising my business on social media and companies such as yelp. Having established customers provided me with the opportunity to have great reviews and word of mouth business. Today, I have a great running business that has been successful for over 18 years.

Has it been a smooth road?
Starting a small business with no marketing background was not easy. I spent a lot of time researching how to get my business to expand. It was not an easy road. I went through many obstacles and spent a lot of money to get to where I am today. Many small business owners can relate, that establishing a business from scratch, is difficult for the first couple of years.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Sparkle and Shine Cleaning Co – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
At Sparkle and Shine we provide a wide range of services. Whether it is for weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, move in/move out, or a one-time cleaning.  We take pride in our work and make sure our customers are left satisfied. Our business differs from many cleaning services, due to sending the same person to our customers’ home each time. This ensures the customers’ home is cleaned with the same quality each time. We customize each cleaning to the customers’ needs. Being a family owned company, our goal is to build a relationship with every one of our clients. We know our customers by their names which shows we have great respect for our customers. One of the biggest things that sets us apart from other companies, is that we do not work by the hour, we work until the home is clean. We have kept the same customers since the business has opened through our loyalty and good service.  We have great references and our employees are trustworthy and have a background check before getting hired.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Chicago is a city of opportunity. I like having the opportunity to work with multicultural clientele, it allows me to meet people from different backgrounds. The one thing I would say that I am not fond of in Chicago is the rush hour traffic.
