Meet A. Anique Snell of Aristokracy in Park Ridge

Today we’d like to introduce you to A. Anique Snell.

Anique, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started working in this industry after working for several blue chip companies in the banking and real estate sector. Working in the banking industry, I gained experience with working with many consumers that were business owners and/or home owners or aspiring to be one of both. I was exposed to the lack of knowledge that was available to business owners relating to successfully securing funding to start or grow their businesses which caused them to consistently be declined and not because they didn’t qualify but because they were not compliant. I never understood the importance of being compliant to obtain funding until I began working as a credit analyst in the business department of a mid-sized corporation, which extended lines of credit to business owners based on compliance and credit history. It all started to make sense, that this information and expertise was not available to entrepreneurs and without this information and strategy it was impossible for them to ever obtain business funding from lenders. I mastered a strategy that assists entrepreneurs with forming their business in any state while being compliant and in position to begin building business credit as soon as they start up. I want to see more successful small businesses in the near future so it is my passion to make sure they are in position to grow once they step out and get started.

When I was 23 years old, I purchased my first property in the Bronzeville area of Chicago, which I held for a year before I sold and made a profit of $72,000. I was following the footstep of a woman named Jacqueline Jackson that I read about in an annual publication by Oprah Winfrey. In that year, I learned so much about real estate and actually being a land owner, that I knew I wanted to continue in the real estate industry, so I took the proceeds and made down payments on 2 additional properties that I mortgaged. That decision was a nightmare! It was during the market crash and my tenants began to have financial issues after losing their jobs and I was the last to get paid. I worked everyday which paid for my own home so all of my extras went toward trying to maintain my credit and pay for an additional property that was not bringing in any income at this point. I ended up losing that property to foreclosure and my credit score tanked. I had pull myself out of that situation over the years by educating myself on personal credit and the laws associated with it. I got my broker’s license in Illinois and began selling real estate so I can help others become property owners while educating them on my mistakes and help them grow financially by securing their future. I love what I do! Helping others make a better life for themselves is my passion so I made it my business to do so.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it has not been a smooth road. I have had my ups and downs, wins and losses but my choice to start this company has been rewarding mentally and financially. I had to gain trust in the people that I have worked with and for because of course most are skeptical and doubt the process yet my business has succeeded because of many referrals. I’m a new mother of a daughter that was born with a heart issue so during her first months of life, I had to struggle with maintaining my business while keeping her care top priority and it was all new to me. God continued blessing me and gave me strength to pull through, understanding clients and the ability to work from home in my down time. I was able to fulfill all commitments in a timely fashion. I’m thankful for that time in my life now, it made me a firm believer in the Highest and how important having faith in God is in my life and in my business. Faith and perseverance got me through the bumpy part of the road. I’m forever thankful!

Aristokracy – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Aristokracy is a business consulting firm that specializes in business formation, business compliance and business credit building. We are known as the home of BuildYourCredit.org. which is a program that assists entrepreneurs with forming corporations, business compliance and building compliant business credit to potentially obtain business funding. I am most proud of the fact that as a company we contribute to developing more entrepreneurs that add value to the small business sector of this economy.

Our experience, strategy and education is what sets us apart from others. As the Founder/ CEO of this company, I didn’t just gain experience in the industry and jump out here, I actually obtained a Masters of Business Administration with an Entrepreneurship Concentration to add value to each business owner I encounter. I love what I do! I love that more people want to build major companies by getting out their passions, ideas and expertise! I love that we’re here to help them prepare for growing their business from the bottom on up.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career was hitting our goal of turning over 40 working class citizens into business owners. That was rewarding for us! The small business sector is continuing to grow which makes for a better future. In my opinion, that is a great move towards diversifying the wealth of this country!
