Today we’d like to introduce you to Katya (K8art) M.
Katya, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
I specialize in tattooing in dotwork, graphics, and black and grey style for nine years now. Also, recently, a little less than a year ago, I created a separate watercolor project, when I decided to purposefully delve into watercolor painting! the characters of my illustrations are mostly wildlife animals and birds! The drawings aroused the interest of the audience, which certainly turned out to be a great motivation for me!
We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
My watercolor project appeared, as well as many things in my work, in a burst of inspiration! I used to paint with watercolors before, but that was a one-off, it is not clear that non-thematic. I wanted a really high-quality material that will reflect my style, which will be competent, beautiful and worth people’s attention! And I managed to find myself in it! I get great pleasure from working with watercolors and I am in love with the result of each work! And since my attitude to animals and their vulnerability has always been very reverent and remains so, and I draw inspiration from the world of animals – in most cases – this watercolor project is dedicated to those who live next to us – the world of wildlife, predators, birds, and pets.
Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
Well, since the main determining factor for an artist is the recognition of his works, as well as what kind of emotions people cause from these works, the main challenge for an artist is to find your own style and hold it!
Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
