Just doing my mom duty to get over myself and get in the frame with the kiddo. It's not my favorite, to be honest. 🤣 So I've been having a bunch of migraines, blurry vision, and eye strain lately, and it's no wonder since I stare at screens all day. I'm so happy I decided to get my eyes checked at @ileyeboutique at Joliet (they're so nice, you guys!!!). Luckily, I now have awesome new glasses that are helping tons. It's amazing to be migraine-free. And I kinda love them!!!Do you get your eyes examined every year? #getin52 #cameramama #thehappynow #theheartcaptured #my_magical_moments #mom_hub #chicagomom #momlife #mynameismama #ohheymama #eyeboutique #glasses #eyewear #familyowned #madeinthemidwest#heyderemrbear#uniteinmotherhood

I'm grateful to feel happy today, truly. This year the pillars holding me up- home, health, love and work – all went through dramatic challenges and change. I've been working so hard to invest in my own care, and sometimes you have to build a whole new foundation to do that- sometimes you have to make dramatic change and that's hard af. I am deeply grateful for some people that have helped lift me up, and stuck with me as guides and companions on sometimes a dark and lonely path back to the sun- you know who you are and I love you. And while I relate to Joan Didion's sentiment, "I've already lost touch with a few people I used to be," I am glad to feel and see this smile and my confidence climb again. Joy and sorrow come from the same place; embrace duality. Embrace the place you're in, and just start there. If anyone is struggling with their mental health and needs an ear or encouragement, will you call or message me? You don't have to do it alone. Sending some light to those who need it.✨💎💖 photo by @lad_of_leisure
